We Got a Roof Ridge Vent Installed!

Our roof is now well vented. A well vented roof is important I learned, because without proper ventilation condensation builds up, and you know where that leads….mould! We hadn’t realized our farm-house roof wasn’t properly vented until a strange odor appeared in my daughter’s room. We figured something was wrong in the attic above her room, as that is where the smell seemed to come from. On closer inspection, we found a very poorly vented roof and a mouldy attic. We called the installers immediately and we now have a roof ridge vent that will keep our house properly ventilated. The vent runs along the whole top ridge of the roof. The vent allows warm humid air to escape. This vent will help our roof last longer as well. The air quality improved in the whole house, and especially in my daughter’s room. I’m glad we got the work done!

She said that the house is so big and empty since my grandfather passed away and she feels that she wants to be around other people like her. I can understand that fully and would probably have done the same. I think that she should keep it, but then again, it will remind her too much of my grandfather. I would have kept it. I am actually glad that she decided to move, because I was worried about her all alone in that big house. I would not want to live on my own like that at all. When we were in high school, my friends and I usually talk about our future plans after we graduate from college. Most of us wanted to tour around the globe and we even had enthusiastic plans of going together.

Scared to Go Back in the Water

While snorkeling at the red sea holiday village resort, I ran into some trouble. The water wasn’t as clear as it could have been, but I went out to sea anyway. In hindsight, it was a stupid decision. About 15 minutes after getting in the water, I suddenly felt like I’d been hit in the chest with a bunch of stinging nettles. It was a massive jelly fish. I tried to swim away be for noticing that I was surrounded by them. I tried getting up the pier but there were too many anemones and the last thing I needed on top of a jelly fish sting was an anemone spine in my foot. I haven’t ventured into the sea much since them, for obvious reasons. The pain from the sting was so bad that I sat submerged in the pool for the rest of the day because the wind made it hurt all the more.
