We Got a Roof Ridge Vent Installed!
Our roof is now well vented. A well vented roof is important I learned, because without proper ventilation condensation builds up, and you know where that leads….mould! We hadn’t realized our farm-house roof wasn’t properly vented until a strange odor appeared in my daughter’s room. We figured something was wrong in the attic above her room, as that is where the smell seemed to come from. On closer inspection, we found a very poorly vented roof and a mouldy attic. We called the installers immediately and we now have a roof ridge vent that will keep our house properly ventilated. The vent runs along the whole top ridge of the roof. The vent allows warm humid air to escape. This vent will help our roof last longer as well. The air quality improved in the whole house, and especially in my daughter’s room. I’m glad we got the work done!
